People can’t be walls!

The debate of “what is the Church” has been heavy in the blog world this year.

Regardless of what you believe the church to be…here is the question.

1 Thessalonians 1:1 addresses the church and ends with “Grace and peace to you.”

Do we end our sentences (or at least our thoughts) addressing our modern day church with “grace and peace to you”?

Collision?…I need help!

As we travel together on this journey from Chrisitanity to Christ I believe we can all help, and even encourage one another with our words and thoughts.

Over Thanksgiving, the weekend, or today did you experience a time of collision…where what you believe and what you live had to collide?

Please do share…

Friday Apology…Today

Black Friday.

I don’t know that I need to say more.

God, I’m sorry.

Thanksgiving

Thanks for creating others to walk the journey with me…

Guest Blog…Apollos? Paul?

“Let us contemplate ways to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.”

Alright…here’s your chance.

Angry Little Man

I’m angry.

I’ve been angry for awhile.

I keep telling people that “no one ever tripped over a mountain so it’s good that I’m letting out my anger over little things.”  But it’s an excuse.

Any thoughts on how to deangrify?

Who needs to pray more: Me or Him?

Mark says that Jesus rose while it was still dark to pray.

God incarnate found whatever time available to spend with God in Heaven.

I woke up at 8 yesterday and sought out a cup of coffee.

You?

Friday apology… “spiritual candy”

oft times do I with both hands gorge myself on spiritual candy. The taste is sweet, the rush is instant…only leaving me unsatisfied and malnourished. This apology is extended to spiritual candy. I’m sorry I’ve mistaken you as a life giving, satisfying meal…when you are simply not. Next time I eat may I not grab for you, but grab for spiritual food that contains meat.

Can you relate to this apology?

simple eye contact

see if today you can see God in the eyes of people you come in contact with.

see if today you can show others God in your eyes.

what do you see?

Guest Blog…John Cooper

From south texas comes John Cooper who doesn’t actually have a blog but would love for you to visit his wife’s blog here and register for a free journal.  John the page is yours:

Recently my wife and I have gone thru a period of great personal loss and suffering.  In the midst of it I wrote the following:

‘How I want to be done with this thing, for it to be over, resolved finished….only to discover that it is the very thing that God is using to break me and transform me into the glorious image of His Son.’

So my apology is to God for despising the gifts He gives when they don’t bring me comfort.

So the why is not why did this happen, but why suffering, why pain, why trials?  Why does this bring us closer too and make us more like Christ?  And why are we so prone to resist and make comfort an idol?

What do you think?
